Some years ago I commenced my working career training business owners and their staff on one of the first, ground breaking computer systems especially designed for small business.
Since that time I have been involved with running my own IT companies, instrumental in setting up the internal accounting systems and procedures for these companies and provided detailed documentation and training for our staff members.
Just before the GST hit Australia I started a consulting company providing bookkeeping services using MYOB.
I then qualified as an MYOB Certified Consultant helping many small businesses in Sydney move to computerised accounting and understanding the GST and the new business requirements. This business ran in Sydney for many years.
I then had the opportunity to move to the UK to setup a new business providing IT services and products to the UK and Europe.
Returning in 2007 and having my businesses running well both here and in the UK I returned to providing bookkeeping and business services to the small business owners of the Sunshine Coast.
I dearly missed the excitement and enjoyment that I get in helping small business owners understand and run their businesses better.
Since 2012 I have been a BAS agent.
I not only get a buzz and a great sense of achievement from training people in business practices and implementing accounting systems but also in providing on-going bookkeeping services so they can do what they do best, growing their businesses and servicing their clients.
My team member Lisa is also a QBO ProAdvisor and we are looking forward to expanding our team and services in the near future.
